Attorney Profile
Rebecca Henderson is committed to helping her personal injury clients navigate through the many complex issues involved in accident and injury claims. “My focus is on helping clients obtain fair compensation from large insurance companies that often treat claimants more like numbers than people.” Ms. Henderson is also committed to helping social security disability claimants weave through the web of the social security appeal process. “It is so discouraging for a disabled person to persevere alone through the delays and denials that are an inherent part of the disability system. I have great compassion for those who have worked through pain for many years, only to be denied benefits after they can no longer work. It’s very rewarding to know that I am fighting for injured and disabled individuals in their battles against such large entities.”
“It’s especially rewarding that I am able to practice law in East Texas, where I grew up.” Ms. Henderson graduated from Whitehouse High School, then attended Kilgore College where she was a Lieutenant in the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. Ms. Henderson graduated magna cum laude from UT Tyler with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Ms. Henderson received her Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Texas Law School in Austin in 1995.
While in law school, Ms. Henderson completed an internship with Texas Supreme Court Justice Nathan Hecht. After law school, Ms. Henderson returned to Tyler to practice law. In 2001, Ms. Henderson opened her own firm; however, she continues to work with other personal injury and social security law firms on specific cases when requested.
Ms. Henderson is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives. Ms. Henderson is also involved in University of Texas Law School organizations such as the prestigious Keeton Fellows and The Dean’s Roundtable.
